With my thumb up, I was desperately waving to cars driving down the road to stop. They passed by, paying no attention to me, leaving me in a cloud of dust. It was a very sunny day, and the heat was making me uncomfortable to the point of wanting to kill someone. The backpack I was carrying on my shoulder weighed tons and my feet ached, which made me swear with every step I took.

I had been like this for hours, and no one had taken pity on me to stop and give me a lift. This was not my best option, but the money I had would not last me much longer. The last paid job I did was a fortnight ago, and there wasn’t much left of the salary they paid me. Who knows when I will get another?

The life that I self-imposed going from one place to another was disastrous, and what I wanted most was to enjoy the stability of a home. But I promised myself that I wouldn’t until I found what I was looking for so fervently. The thing would complete my being and would provide me with peace and love until the last day of my life. My fated mate, gifted to me by the moon goddess. The man I have been tirelessly searching for these last five years.

I looked in both directions, and I didn’t see any car approaching. “Damn serial killers,” I exclaimed aloud because of them. No one wants to stop to give a stranger a lift. I raised my hand and put it over my eyes to shade them. The sun was blazing high, and if I didn’t get help soon, I would die of dehydration, or roasted.

A few meters from me, on the side of the road, I saw a rock. And, because I couldn’t take it anymore, and decided I had to rest, even for a few minutes. It was better to sit there than in the middle of the dust. I walked as best I could and when I got there; I dropped onto the rock without hesitation. I took a deep breath when the weight of my body stopped being concentrated on my legs. But I still had to do something else, since, despite the cap I was wearing, I needed to cover my nape and neck with something else. I wanted to rest here a while longer, and with the sun on my head, I would most likely pass out in this heat.

I took off the backpack and stretched, my neck sore and tired. Then I took out a scarf, which I put under the cap. This cast a nice shadow on the back of my neck, keeping the sun’s rays from hitting me directly. It wasn’t much, but it was the best I could do under the circumstances.

Going back to my backpack, I took out a nearly empty bottle of water and took a sip, fearing I’ll finish it and run out of it. “Stupid,” I exclaimed, chastising myself for negligence.

“This would not have happened to me if I had gone to buy water before getting on the bus that was about to leave. Of course, the driver would not have waited for me.” However, I couldn’t afford to lose the bus ticket. Money is getting scarce by leaps and bounds, and with the little I have, I had to take care of it like a treasure, since I still had many roads to go.

Looking to the sides, I sighed, since the road was empty. This road is not busy, but it was the cheapest route to get to Cardy. Charles, a wolf I met a few days ago, told me about a wolf population that was near this town.

He did not know the exact address, since this was a reclusive community, which did not mix with the human population or other wolves. They were very jealous of their traditions, and how the Alpha governed its members was how typical of wolves. It was the perfect place to go if you wanted to live in a hierarchical structure where the Alpha is everything, along with his Luna. The betas and gammas were the second with authority.

The rest of the members had to respect this. Their animal side was more important than their human side. For werewolves, this was the way of life. And those who had turned their sights on human society and been seduced by their way of living had to give up their wishes or be banished from the pack.

In comparison, where I come from, although we maintained the structure of the Wolves, also we were open to changes. As long as it benefits its members, of course. I am the second daughter of the Alpha, and as such, I knew how to uphold the traditions and what they meant. It was paramount to survival as a race. The humans were advancing not only in terrain but in ideas. It was dangerous for the wolves’ future.

I close my bottle and place it back in the backpack, closing my eyes. I took advantage of that moment to take off my boots and massage my battered toes. “Damn, how I would like to be on the beach. Wetting my feet with the waves of the sea, hand in hand with my mate,” I said, imagining that incredible scenario. Swearing that on my honeymoon, I would insist on going to a paradise where we could sunbathe, naked, on the soft sand of the sea. But my reality was different, since after several hours of waiting, and several attempts to catch transport and being ignored. But then, someone immensely surprised me when a van stopped a few meters away from me.

I couldn’t believe it, and I immediately bent down to pick up my belongings and rushed to the vehicle that was waiting for me.

I approached the window below and stuck my head in, smiling at the driver. She was an old woman, not so old that she couldn’t drive, but she also didn’t look competent enough not to worry me. I swallowed hard, considering whether it was a good idea to ride with her, but I knew she was my only option.

“Are you waiting for an invitation? If you want me to give you a ride, get in now.”

I raised my eyebrows at this comment, mentally scolding myself for putting myself in these situations. In a hurry, I opened the passenger door and got into the van. I immediately put on my seatbelt, and I turned towards the old woman, who was starting the vehicle.

“Thank you. You don’t know how much I appreciate it.”

The old woman, without turning to see me, made a Mm! Sound, not taking her eyes off the road. I shook my head slightly, looking straight ahead.

The road was silent for half the time until the old woman spoke. “Where exactly are you going? Since I can’t think of anything in the surroundings that is worthwhile for a young woman from the city to make the journey here.”

With my eyes half closed, tired from the trip, I woke up fully hearing her. I cleared my throat, taking the sleep out of my voice, and said, “I’m looking for an area near Cady. A friend told me that the nature in that part is magnificent. I am a photographer and would love to take some photos there.” I had to lie, since for nothing I could reveal our world.

The old lady made an um! Only, but said no more.

After a while, I closed my eyes again, resting my head on the glass of the door, and falling asleep.

In that dream, I felt my beloved, and even though I didn’t know him yet, my heart was already crazy for him.

“Girl, girl,” I heard noises in the distance, but when I felt someone shake my arm, it was when I opened my eyes.

“This is where you get off.” The old woman said as I was trying to put my brain cells to work. I blinked several times, trying to take away the sleep that I still felt. I got up and turned to see the old woman. With an exasperated face, she was looking at me impatiently.

“Oh um! Thanks, I’m in your debt,” I said, but the old lady practically dragged her eyes to the roof of the van. Wow, there is no doubt that with age, people’s moods worsen. Still, I was immensely grateful.

Taking my things, I left the vehicle, closing the door. I went to the window to say goodbye once more, but the old woman had already ripped away, leaving me in the dust. I covered my nose with my forearm, trying to escape from the dust cloud, and no matter how hard I try, I end up breathing it, causing me to cough heavily. When the attack passed, I brushed off my clothes and looked around me.

It was already late, and I was in the middle of this unknown country road. “Damn, old lady, why couldn’t she have left me somewhere else?” I complained out loud.

With no other choice, I grabbed my backpack and slung it over my shoulder. I looked around again, trying to decide which way to go. The darkness was making it difficult for me to make this decision, but I wasn’t completely lost. My lupin eyesight was keen, and even though I was in human form, my senses were superior.

Everything was wild, except for the old road we were coming from, and looking to my left, I noticed a barely visible path as branches and foliage covered it.

Something in me told me it was the direction I had to take, and despite my doubts, I walked in that direction. With my arms, I made my way through the branches and leaves, feeling like I had walked for hours, until a few meters further on, I came across a clearing. I marveled at the beauty of this place, since in front of me was a small lagoon. Tall trees surrounded it, and the moonlight illuminated the surface.

The wind gently blew, moving my hair while this image absorbed me in front of me. My heart was beating fast for some reason I didn’t know. And when my eyes met a few sparkles in the distance, my heart that was beating quickly stopped, causing me to catch my breath.

“Finally, I found it,” I said aloud, my eyes moist. As I looked at the small, dim lights that meant everything to me, without realizing it, my tears began to wet my cheeks. I did not contain my joy and laughed out loud. My dream was very close to coming true, so close that I could taste it.

I wiped my face with the sleeve of my blouse, and lowered my backpack to the ground, while I looked around me. I had to spend the night here, although what I wanted most was to go to where the lights were and look for him. But realistically, the distance was great, and traveling in unknown terrain and at night was not recommended. So, I found a space to put on my sleeping bag and got ready for the night.

When I closed my eyes, I dreamed of him.

The loud sound of birds singing made it impossible to continue sleeping. The bright light of the morning sun mercilessly hit my eyelids, forcing me to cover my eyes with my forearm.

“Ugh,” I said, turning my body to the side. I kept my eyes closed for a moment longer until the fog in my brain lifted. I slowly opened my eyes and blinked several times. Once I was fully awake, I sat up, craning my neck, as sleeping on a hard surface was torture. My whole body ached.

I gave an enormous yawn and removed the sleeping bag from me. I got up and took the opportunity to shake my body. How I needed a bed. And when I think of the bed, my imagination immediately conjures up images of my man, lying next to me, white sheets tangled between our legs.

“Oh! Don’t think about it now, Terra,” I said aloud, fanning my face with the blush my imagination was causing me. I wasted no more time and hurried to pack up my little camp.

When I finished, I put my backpack on my shoulder and turned in the direction where I saw the lights last night. Now nothing was visible, but I had an idea of how to get there, and I already knew the direction I should take.

Taking a deep breath, I set off, encouraging myself as I pondered, and imagined what our first meeting would be like. The road didn’t look easy, but there was nothing in this world to stop me.

From the hill where I was standing, I could see the settlement last night. It was quite high where I was, and it took me a long time to descend. The rocks in my path were loose, making everything even more difficult. This seemed like a massive cliff, and if I lost my balance or lost my foot, I could fall. And such a fall would not suit me at all now.

Finally, I had reached the end, touching solid ground. I collapsed on the ground and closed my eyes. The sweat all over my body was making me uncomfortable, and of course, I was hungry and thirsty.

I opened my backpack and took out the bottle of water, which was empty. “Ah,” I yelled, throwing it a few feet away from me.

“Shit, what am I going to do now?” Frustrated, I sigh. I held my head with both hands, thinking that if I didn’t find water soon, I wouldn’t get very far.

I suddenly opened my eyes, finding the solution. “Well, of course. What have I been thinking?” I got up from the ground and removed everything from me. Once naked, I got everything in the backpack and let my body transform into my beast. With relief, I welcome the change, as my human body was exhausted.

My animal was slightly larger than average, making me faster and stronger than the others. My wolf would guide me, and I was confident.

With my snout, I took the backpack and set off.

It had all been more difficult than I had expected. The terrain was inhospitable, and still in my animal form, I was having a hard time. I hadn’t found water yet, and some time had passed. I started taking more frequent breaks, as my body was getting more and more tired, despite that my animal was in charge. It was already night, and I felt I had achieved little.

In the distance, I could see no settlement, or worse, a place where to drink. So, I went to some bushes that will cover me enough to spend the night there. Upon finding the perfect place, I dropped the backpack from my snout and curled up in a ball, trying to give myself comfort. My body ached, and my strength wouldn’t last long at this rate. So, I closed my eyes and dream about my mate. That was the only thing I could do.

In the morning, the noise of the birds woke me up really early. I was still in my animal form because of the precariousness of my situation. In my human body, this would be impossible.

I lifted my head and sniffed the air, trying to figure out what the cool air might tell me. And that’s when I smelled it. It contained the gentle breeze of the water. I pricked my ears in attention and, collecting my belongings with my muzzle, I set off.

My goal didn’t seem very far from where I was, so with all my strength, I concentrated on following the track, despite the hunger and thirst that invaded my body.

And after jogging slowly for what seemed like hours, in the distance, I finally saw it. I dropped my backpack from my muzzle and trotted slowly toward the small stream that was only some steps away.

Already on the shore, with abandon, I submerged my snout and drank. The contact of the water with my closed throat was something I will never forget. Making me feel such immense relief that my strength returned little by little. When my animal was satisfied, I transformed, dropping into the creek no matter what. I wanted to feel the fresh water caress my dry and sun-damaged skin.

After washing my body as best I could, I stayed resting on the surface, feeling my body being caressed by the water. Then a rustle of leaves and sticks alerted me I was no longer alone.

I raised my head and stood up immediately. The creek was not deep, so I could stand in the middle of it.

Quickly, I scanned my surroundings, searching for the source of the sound, and that’s when in the distance I saw some branches moving. Slowly, I came out of the water and was about to morph when three women came out of the bushes. And behind them were two more men.

I nervously looked around for an exit., but definitely I was at a disadvantage. But despite my situation, in amazement, I watched the intruders in front of me.

They were all beautiful, which surprised me and made my thoughts of escaping go out the window. All three women were perfect. I couldn’t see a flaw in them. Their hair was abundant and reached past their shoulders. One had it up to her waist, making her look like a doll. All three were athletic, and their muscles were something to envy. Even though I was considered a strong and agile wolf, I doubt I would come out on top of one, let alone three.

Compared to them, I was a cheap version. My blonde hair, which, I thought, was beautiful, paled compared to its vibrant colors. I darkened my skin from traveling so much, exposing myself to the sun for hours. I felt ugly, which I never considered. Being frank; I say what I think, and I never let myself be carried away by gossip. I don’t consider myself unfair, either. And my self-confidence has always been strong, until now, from what I can see.

And regarding the two men, they left me speechless still further. I had never seen those features and the intense color of their eyes. It was a honey color, so transparent that it contrasted with the black jet color of their hair and beards. All of them were naked. Probably, were roaming in their animals until they detected me.

I had ever heard in my pack that there was a race of wolves that preferred not to mix and that their physique was superior, along with their strength. And in front of me, I was sure about what the wolves which I heard speak were in front of me.

A lump formed in my throat, making me swallow hard. Knowing all this, could it be that I was finally about to find my half? I was so absorbed in my thoughts that I didn’t quite hear what one of them said. My lack of response made him take a step towards me, making me finally react in the face of danger.

Cautiously, but with a friendly smile, I said, “Hey, you scared me a little. I wasn’t expecting to meet anyone. I am Terra, and you?”

The same man who took a step toward me was the one who replied, “Intruders are not welcome in our territory, and you smell like a wolf from a pack I can’t identify. Terra, if that’s what you call yourself, tell me, why are you here?”

His hostility surprised me, causing my eyes to widen in surprise. I kept quiet thinking about how to handle this situation, but in these cases, the only thing that can be done was to get straight to the point.

"Well, it’s only fair that I tell you what I’m doing on these lands. I have come from the old continent searching for my mate. The wolf that the goddess destined for me."

“I have traveled the world looking for him, and this is the only place left for me to look for.”

We all fell silent until their hysterical laughter echoed through the place. I was confused, not knowing what caused such a reaction. Their mocking faces were annoying me, and I wasn’t one of those who let anyone abuse them. My eyes turned dark green, a sign that my animal was angry.

And with surprise, I noticed it had an unexpected effect, since the five fell silent, opening their eyes still further. I knew my animal was dominant, but seeing the effect on them was beyond my imagination. Even the men looked surprised.

“I don’t know what I said to be so funny, but none of this is. As I said, I’m here to look for my mate, and since we’ve met, I ask you to take me to your Alpha. It won’t take long, I swear. And if my partner is none of you, I will leave without causing trouble.”

The same man who spoke earlier, who hadn’t even taken the decency to introduce himself, opened his mouth to respond but was stopped by the hand of one woman.

“We will take you to the Alpha; however, I recommend you do not get your hopes up in case you find him here. Since our race does not mix.”

Saying that, she turned her back on me, going back the same way she came from, followed by the other four.

Her statement scared me, and at the same time made me straighten my back. Nothing and no one was going to come between me and my man. If he were here, there would be no other place for me than this. The moon goddess gifted him to me, and I was going to treasure that gift.

Without thinking more, I grabbed my belongings and followed them. Naked as I came into this world.

The road was painfully silent. Nobody took the time to turn around to see if I was okay. All I could see was their backs and those perfect buttocks. All of them were perfect.

As I walked, I couldn’t help but imagine that he would be there, looking like them. My cravings increased with each step I took, and my heart raced. My heartbeat should have been so powerful that one of them turned around and looked at me from top to bottom, before returning his cold gaze to the front.

After more time on the road, they stopped, causing me to stop too, wondering what was wrong. Wondering what was next. One of the women turned around, and faced me, saying, “The ridge we have to cross we can only do on our animals.” I looked straight ahead, and undoubtedly, there was that mountain she was talking about. I nodded my head and put my belongings down on the floor.

Closing my eyes, I set my animal free. My beautiful, strong, and powerful beast emerged, raising its head in the direction of the other wolves.

When they transformed, dependably noticed that also their animals were magnificent. Their fur, like their hair, was intense black. I could see who the men were since their wolves were a little bigger and broader than the women’s. And despite this difference, theirs did not stop looking lethal before my eyes.

My animal trotted towards them, and to my surprise, I saw them bowing their heads slightly. This was unexpected. Why did my beast have so much power over them? I noticed that during our interaction at the lake, but now I’m corroborating it.

My animal, with its marbled fur, a mix between white, light brown, and black, headed towards them. I was afraid of what they would do having me around, but again I was left speechless when they all started rubbing their bodies on mine.

My animal let out a sound from its throat, which I did not recognize. This had not happened before with any other member of my pack or any other that I have visited. But without giving more importance to the matter, my animal surprisingly took the lead. The others took up their positions behind me, and as if my wolf knew the path, we advanced.

The mountain was hard to cross. Nevertheless, with the guidance of the wolves, we could reach the other side. Being at the top, I could see through the eyes of my animal what was in front of me. In the distance was the place I was looking for. I could see smoke rising from the cabin chimneys and see the expanse of the place. The pack lived in a dreamlike place. Now I understood why they want to guard their location so jealously and stay apart from everyone.

If my mate is here, I will be happy to stay in this place with him around.

But it was time to move on, so my new pack and I continued walking up the mountain until we crossed the dense forest that separated me from my destination.

As I got closer, I felt my nerves explode. It’s like it’s a premonition. My animal’s eyes looked straight ahead and had only one thing on its mind. Go to him.

I turned to the sky and saw that the sun was setting. We had spent almost a whole day on the road, and I was really exhausted.

One wolf got ahead of me, and trotting, like a hasty change of direction, the others followed him and me too. We continued straight ahead until my eyes fell on an archway that seemed to be the entrance. Intense odors invaded my senses. This was the entrance to the town where the pack lived. It had finally arrived.

The six wolves crossed, and we took the path until, in the distance, I saw the wooden houses that I saw from a distance. I also noticed activity and the life that this place had. My stomach clenched, anticipating the notion of him being here or not. This pack was my last hope.

He had to be here. And continuing on our way, we crossed some houses from which people came out as if they had known that I had arrived.

Women, men, and little ones watched me with great curiosity, and, at the same time, with intuition. But something happened when I passed in front of them. They all bowed their heads, some noticeably, and others just slightly. But I saw it. Just as the wolves that accompanied me did at the beginning.

Some who were in their animal form approached me, ears lowered along with their tails, slowly, until they rubbed their bodies on mine. My wolf did the same, absorbing their scents.

I was really shocked. The wolves in this pack recognized me as part of theirs. Not so much their human counterpart. Although, this act made me tremble since I remembered something similar that happened in another pack some time ago.

The wolves were acknowledging their guide and example. My stomach flipped at the thought that my mate could be the Alpha here. There was no other explanation for this behavior.

And reaching a certain point on the path, that’s when I smelled it. My animal lifted its nose into the air and tested it by sticking out its tongue, and sniffing curiously in all directions. He was here. My partner. The man I had been looking for all my life.

My wolf howled, letting him know we were here, that we came for him. But my animal didn’t give me time to process anything, as it sped off in one direction, running as we’d never run before. And I, for one, had tears in my eyes.

The more we ran, the stronger his scent became. Until we come to a cabin slightly larger than the others. The door was immediately flung open, and a man with indescribable intensity stepped out.

My mind completely shut down, as I could only see him. Nothing around me existed, and ambitious eyes absorbed the glossy black hair that was long enough to reach his shoulders. Then my gaze went to his face, where I admired his full, well-formed lips. Posteriorly, his straight nose was full of personality. And last, his eyes. Like the other wolves, they were crystalline honey.

All within me melted. As If my insides were mashed. And after my initial shock at seeing him, I could finally notice it. His face when he opened the door was visibly altered, and when he saw me he stopped completely, as if he had frozen in time, watching me with a mixture of wonder and terror, and… something else.

At this, my animal gave way to me, until I was in front of him. Naked. But nothing mattered, because I was finally facing him. I had found him. My partner, my fated mate.

Still absorbed by the image in front of me, I raised my arm to touch him. He extended his, too. But before we could touch each other, a woman of incredible beauty appeared at the door, and when she saw me, her face changed into something horrible. She took my mate’s arm harshly, pulling him away from me. And that’s when the most terrifying scream came from my guts.

The stupor and trance I was in were destroyed by a terrible scream from the woman in front of me. The woman who I had dreamed of my entire life. The golden-haired woman with green eyes.

I know it’s her by the way my insides expand and contract when I think of her. Yet here she was in the flesh.

My wife tensed behind me, causing me to stand in front of her and the woman who has infiltrated my dreams for as long as I can remember.

My protective side kicked in, bringing my canines down. Laura was intimidated by this stranger’s animal, which I could feel in my bones. My animal raised its head at the threat, but upon feeling its aura, it fell silent. My beast, the most powerful in the region, was silenced.

My mind shut down, as this meant only one thing. The woman in front of me was my fated mate. This is cruel, very cruel.

“Get away from him,” she roared, with her canines in the air. Her green eyes were dark green now, like the forest at night. Listening to her, my stomach felt a desire that was hard to understand. For the first time in my life, my cock tensed with just a grunt. Sending the desire straight to my brain.

“Daddy, what’s happening?” my twelve-year-old daughter approached the door from inside, and that’s when I reacted. But when I looked at the stranger again, her face was pale, and her intense green eyes returned to the transparent green I had always dreamed of. Without taking my eyes off the stranger, I muttered, “Laura, take Susie into the bedroom, and don’t go out for any reason. Lock the door.”

But Laura, my wife, did not do what she was told immediately since I could still feel her rough breath caressing my neck. Her fingers kept digging into my shoulder, and her posture remained stubbornly rigid at my side. I felt her hostility towards the strange emanating in enormous waves.

“Laura,” I said firmly, until she finally released me, doing as she was told.

The woman in front followed Laura’s movements step by step. That inflamed me somewhat since she identified her as prey. I blocked my wife’s figure from view with my body until I knew they were safe. I closed my door and stood in front of her with a threatening posture. No one will come to my house to cause trouble for me and my family, whoever it is. Thinking in her here, for this woman and me, it’s already too late.

The shock of all this did not allow me to see that an audience had gathered to see what was happening with great interest. I looked around and with my Alpha command I told them, “Go home, there is nothing to see here”. And without further ado, one by one they left, all throwing a last glance towards what could have been my mate, and then towards me.

Finally, alone, I straightened my back, and, looking firmly into her eyes, then I said, “Come with me.” And without giving her time to respond, I started towards my office, which was near to my house. Without turning to see her, I listen to her footsteps, following me, and then I hasten the step.

Once I reached my destination, I opened the door and entered. I went straight to my desk and took a seat. I heard the door closing, and I mentally prepared myself for what I had to do. My sight was focused on the figure walking towards me, naked.

My animal and I could not help but observe her figure. She was quite a woman. Natural and unpretentious.

My throat went dry, and I struggled to swallow. What was passing me? The control that I had always had at all times was slipping through my fingers, and all because of the woman in front of me. Shit, my pants felt tight and everything inside hurt, since my dick has been standing since I saw her. And I don’t think it’s because of her nudity. I’d seen countless naked women before, and nothing had provoked me this way, not even Laura.

When I finally removed my gaze from her body and brought it to her face, my insides ached. I opened my mouth to say something, but couldn’t speak. This woman in front of me wore an expression of pain and disappointment that I had never seen before. Breaking my soul. Even though we had acquaintances, I could feel her pain. It was open to me, to where I could taste it, and it tasted bitter.

My beast roared from the inside, expressing his discontent. It was hers, too, and I had already chosen another in her place.

Her tears that had been contained in the confines of her eyes fell free, until the words for which I had no answer came from her lips. “Why you didn’t wait for me? Why, why?”

Coldly, I knew why, but being in front of her my reasons are meaningless now. Nothing was right, and even my animal knew better than me.

“Why?” Facing my silence, she shouts, hitting the desk hard. I got up and saw her face-to-face, placing my two hands on my desk. I was puffing, and my mind was not in a place suitable to be civilized. She was taunting sensations I didn’t know that I could feel, and all my calm and consideration were disappearing.

I am Alpha. My dominance and control must be strong. But before her, everything was falling apart. My wolf howled, calling to her. And on the other side, the call was answered by her. The two beasts were in sync, only the human part was not.

Taking a few breaths of air, I walked towards the rack that was placed near the door. I took a coat and handed it over to her. She snatched it from my hands and threw it to the ground. While our eyes did not stop seeing each other, she implored me to answer her. Which I did, and without mercy.

“Why? I’m going to tell you why. I’m married, and with a wonderful daughter for whom I would do anything. There’s nothing for us. I’m sorry, I’m sorry that this will turn ugly, or that it hasn’t been what you may have imagined in your head when you thought of your fated mate. But I’m already taken and there’s no place for you in my life.”

Without touching his heart, the man of my dreams stabbed me repeatedly with his words. Tears filled my already wet cheeks. And despite that, I still couldn’t fully understand what he was telling me, yet I knew it was terrible. It had to be a nightmare. This was not true. My illusions could not end before they had even begun. I would not allow it.

The one who still didn’t know his name took a step towards the coat that was on the ground and picked it up. Coming closer to me, I let him place it on my shoulders, saying nothing, since I was only aware of his eyes. But his, was looking everywhere except at me.

This time I clung to the coat, covering my nakedness. It was the first time it hurt to be in this position before someone. Vulnerable and completely out of place without knowing what to do. Unlike me, my animal was furious. In its eyes, my mate was unworthy of me. I, who remained unattached to everything and everyone all this time, just to experience everything with him. And he, without thinking twice, tells me how much he loves the woman who should not be with him, and how much he would do for the daughter who was not mine either.

But my wolf would not allow him to cast us aside. We have given everything to be with him, and if we had to fight an entire pack to have him, so would we.

Releasing the coat, I lowered my arms and put them at my side. I crossed the two or three steps that separated us until our bodies were so close that I felt his heat radiating on my skin.

His eyes widened, letting me see the brown and yellow brushstrokes in them. Those same eyes should have watched me with passion and obsession, just as mine did.

And without giving him time to react, I took him by the head with my two hands, kissing him, imprisoning him, so he wouldn’t escape. The coat slipped off my back, ending up on the floor again. In the place that, I think, should be, since nothing must come between him and me.

The contact with his lips was what I had always imagined. Sweet and addictive. The drug that would keep me going day after day.

My tongue infiltrated his mouth, letting me feel his texture. From the tips of my toes to the last of my hair, I felt how all my nerves pulsated. I felt alive, renewed.

His lips moved to my rhythm, making me lose my mind. My love wanted me as much as I wanted him, despite what he said.

My lips detached from his, and it was when I went for his neck. With tender little kisses, I covered the entire surface. My mate began to moan with pleasure because if he was experiencing what I was, surely he was about to explode, too.

But I needed more of him, more, more.

I brought my hip forward, smashing it against his erect, hard member. My stomach turned at the feel of his manhood, and it was all just for me.

I let out a breath when his hands went directly to my buttocks, squeezing them hard. I was about to come, and he hadn’t even touched me there. This was wonderful, everything I had wanted.

Until I felt cold and practically flew across the office, away from him.

My body contacted the wall, momentarily knocking the air out of me. My head hit the hard surface as well, and everything around me spun. I don’t understand how, after being so high; I had fallen, and in this way.

I squeezed my eyes shut, taking my hands to the back of my head, where a bump was forming from the blow. I opened my eyes, and the first thing I saw was the furious face of my mate, looking at me with revulsion.

His breathing was rough, and his eyes were crystal clear, full of fury. I wasn’t expecting this. Not like this. What happened? What did I do wrong?

Swallowing the pain in my body, I said, “Please give me a chance. Give us a chance.” My voice cracked on the last word, making me sob. All this made me feel sick to where my stomach burned. I searched his eyes, and luckily, that terrible fury that I saw recently disappeared. But still, they were cold, at least with me. But deep inside, I knew that this would be my chance to tell him how much I have always loved him.

“Since I turned fifteen, I have only thought of you. The moment we met. I left all my childhood things behind to become a woman and go looking for you. I knew you weren’t among mine, so I visited each one pack in the world, with the sole purpose of finding you. Then I left my home and my family behind just for you.”

He was staring at me, giving me nothing. I took a breath, and continued, “It took me five years to get to this moment. Did you hear? Five years to see your face, so I could call you my mate.”

I looked down and shook my head, but continued, “I don’t even know your name, and you haven’t asked for mine.”

I raised my face and looked into his eyes. My mate certainly didn’t expect to hear this, as his eyes were closed, trying to contain himself. His chest was heaving violently, and his hands were balled into fists.

I stood there, waiting for him to say something, and when I thought he wouldn’t say anything, he finally did. “My name is Michael, and I’m the Alpha of this pack.”

VIOSHED

Several years ago I acquired an obsessive compulsion to read books, especially fiction. I discovered in the narration of the stories the emotions that could be transmitted in this way. The author would have to be very good to achieve this. So I dedicated myself to reading, and reading, and reading more. Until I couldn't find more books that might catch my eye, I was bored. But this made me think of something, and that's when I decided to make my own stories, however, I wanted and as long as necessary. That was how my writing career began. Now I have more than 6 novels and a blog in which I review books that I consider interesting and crude enough not to close them until they are finished reading.
