Epilogue
Armaloth
“No, Prince Badaloth. No, your father the king will ask for my head.”
With great pride, I watch from my throne as my son gives Anton a terrible day. My little boy is proving to be a full-fledged devil. He is barely a year old and his powers are magnificent.
My relics did well to choose their mother, Moriah, my wife.
Remembering her name made me wonder what she was doing? She has been in the dragon dimension for over a week. And it's about time she returned to fulfill her obligations.
I raise my hand, closing my eyes. I started to create a black cloud, and the portal appeared in front of me. I released my thorny branches through the portal, and they crossed dimensions until they reached their target. When I had it, I ordered it back.
“AAAAA!” From the portal, Moriah screams, while she was dragged from the dragon dimension into my presence. She was almost here, and seconds later, my wife's body was dragged over to me. My thorny branches gently deposited her on the ground.
She raised her face with an angry look. My queen was not happy.
“Armaloth, I've already told you not to do that. You embarrass me in front of others. How is it possible that this idea crosses your mind? Treating the queen like this is not right. Now I begin to see why no one respects me.”
I threw my head back, laughing out loud. With a wave of my hand, my thorny branches dragged her towards me, bumping her body into mine. When I had her in front of me, I took her by the waist and pulled her closer to my body.
Moriah let out an involuntary groan, with her lips in front of mine, but her eyes on me.
“My queen, who am I?” I asked her quietly. Moriah was looking at me intently, and little by little, I began to feel her thorny branches zigzagging and snaking at my feet, slowly climbing my leg. Her energy began to circulate in me, feeling her desire, her anger, and her love. And yes, she loves me. It is part of her nature as a human. That is the only thing that will remain of her humanity. Her love for me.
Moria closed her eyes and opened them instantly. She took a breath and said, “You are the king of the underworld, Armaloth. My king and husband.” She stood on tiptoe and kissed me softly on the mouth.
I immediately took control of the kiss, showing her who I am.
A week without my wife by my side, can't happen again. One week. That dragon is taking plenty of liberties.
I ended the kiss and was about to tell her that I didn't want her to spend any more time with the dragon. But out of the corner of my eye, I saw how my son Madaloth came towards us at full speed, completely sure about catching his mother off guard like so many other times by falling on top of her.
I was about to hold him back when Moriah surprised me by raising her arm in our son's direction. Madaloth stayed suspended in the air without being able to move. The little devil furiously tried to escape from the force field that was containing him.
Moriah winked at me and I turned to look at him. She moved her hand and tossed the little annoyance to the other wall of the throne room. Madaloth bounced like a ball from one side to the other, until after a while it stopped. My son was stunned in the bubble, unable to free himself.
There was more, Badaloth, who was busy dismantling the door, realized that his mother had arrived. He hurriedly jumped towards her, while Remiloth and Mordoloth came out from behind the throne of thorns with a great leap as well. My little ones can feel the presence of their mother immediately. But none of them had the opportunity to do what they wanted as usual because Moriah, without even looking, shot her energy at each one of them, enveloping them in bubbles.
The children fought with claws and teeth to free themselves, but all was in vain. Moriah did to all of them what she did to Madaloth. She tosses them to the other side of the wall, so they bounce across the entire length of the throne room.
I kept my eyes wide open, wondering how did she learn these tricks? How did the dragon teach her to do that?
Observing my children giddy inside the spheres, I noted after the shake, they stayed put. I smiled at my wife, showing my fangs. I grabbed her hand and led her towards her throne.
When she took her seat, I did the same in mine. Our thorny branches snaked all over the place, tangling with each other.
When Moria saw that our demons had enough, she popped the bubbles. One by one, they got up from the ground and, peacefully, walked towards where their mother was. I couldn't believe it, even Anton was stunned in one of the corners of the room.
My wife's thorny branches snake around our children, lifting them up, and putting them on Moriah's lap. Once seated there, they all looked up at their mother. They were waiting for orders. My jaw dropped.
My demons since they were born all together have been a real threat. None of them could miss the opportunity to harass their mother or jump on her, one by one or all together.
They were able to run the most trained demons into my palace. They are a real pest, but this? I guided my gaze towards Moriah, trying to understand what was going on.
My wife saw our demons and nodded in approval. They wasted no time and climbed onto her. Moriah hugged and kissed them one by one. Her thorny branches zigzagged excitedly. Moriah couldn't help it. Any expression of love and affection towards us, and this was the result.
My children after a while remained calm on their mother's lap. Moriah finally turned around with a smile on her face.
“What did you do?” That was the only thing I could ask.
She made a satisfying pout with her mouth and said, “The bubbles were a little trick I learned from your mother.” Hecate was with the dragon? My face must have said it all. She nodded, and continued, “That's right, beloved husband. Your mother gave me good advice on how to deal with badly behaved imps.” She winked at me again.
“She told me so many stories about how she practically had to leave you and your brothers in the bubbles for hours. Until all of you finally calmed down.”
I shook my head in annoyance. How dare my mother reveal such embarrassing things about my childhood? But Moriah continued, “The rest I figured it out myself.” That piqued my interest.
“What do you mean you figured it out on your own?”
“Yes, husband, remember the prophecy?”
“What?” I replied in disbelief.
Moriah smiled, saying, “The prophecy says that a human and the king of the underworld will give life to the invincible army. But nowhere does it say who commanded that army. Everyone assumes that it will be the king. Yet, I discovered something shocking today when I was training with the dragon. My humanity will not be completely lost, for that, I would have to stop loving. And by loving, I won't be able to have as much power as you, demons. But there is something on my side to make up for that loss.”
Moriah was surprising me more and more with what she was saying.
“What is it? Tell me.” I was intrigued.
“My children. The invincible army can only be commanded by the mother. My sons and daughters will obey only me. They won't let anything bad happen to me and will take care of me with all their demonic power. Even from you, my love.”
I grabbed Moriah by the back of her neck and pulled her face close to mine. And with my penetrating sight, I asked her. “And who commands you?”
Moriah swallows hard and blinks several times. But after a few seconds, a gorgeous smile spread all over her face. “You, my husband and king, you command me.”
Satisfied with her response, I attacked her mouth.
If, a few years ago, someone had told me that my entire self would belong to a human, certainly, I would have destroyed them in seconds by the insult.
Moriah, my wife, and my children are the most important thing in my kingdom. We will fulfill the prophecy together. We will conquer the worlds and become known as the kingdom that conquered all. The underworld.
When they hear our names, even Olympus and the heavens will tremble.
