 Inside me

Brid

Darkness, it's the only thing around me. It felt as if my soul had left my body and everything was far away from me. My head, I can feel it, and is spinning out of control, but at the same time, I am floating in nothing. I don't know if my eyes are open or closed. Everything appears to be the same anyway. My body was adrift, but it felt like a force is guiding me somewhere.

In front of me, a light began to shine, surprising me because I can see it clearly, with a big halo. This force is leading me towards that light. Every time it gets closer and closer to me, hardly could sense it, but the closer I get, the more clearly I see it.

I am not blind here. I can see everything, I'm shocked by this and excited. But my attention returned to the light because now, I'm so near, that not only I could see it, but feel it too, and it vibrating. My body began to shake violently at the same rhythm.

“AAAAA,” My head started to move from side to side. The light shone brighter now.

I felt as if my mind were separated from my body, and fear began to climb from the bottom of my foot to my head. That light was not good. Now I could feel its evil unleashing in the middle of nowhere. And I was heading towards it. I tried to move my arms, but they weren't responding. My legs didn't work either.

That light seemed to lead me straight to my doom. I started to fight in my head, but as much as I tried to make my body react, nothing worked.

Now the light was practically a few meters away from me. I started crying but without tears. My eyes were dry and useless. I lost control of myself.

“NOOOOO.”

I screamed when I couldn't fight the desperation. Nothing was going to save me from this.

Little by little, my body reached the light that escaped from the centre. I Could feel it, icy and painful. The cold began to invade me until my body was absorbed by this evil halo, slowly, while electric shocks started to torture me.

“AAAAA,” My body convulsed non-stop, and when I crossed the light completely, everything stopped. I was left suspended in the air.

I dared to see what was in front of me, and the place in which I was, was bright white. The darkness stayed behind with the ice.

Suddenly, my body began to descend, but I still couldn't move, no matter how hard I tried to make my muscles work.

Finally, I was slowly deposited on the ground, on this very white and shiny white ground, encased in a sphere of light.

The moment my feet hit the ground, I felt like my body was released from the force that paralyze me this whole time. My legs were weak, so I fell to my knees. The unknown never allows me to stop fearing because everything is strange and scary. But most of all, it was because I could find my death here.

Here, on the floor, I had no idea where I was or what to do. So, I got up struggling, and expectant. I felt my muscles somehow numb, but after several attempts, I succeeded in moving my body.

I turned around looking for something, anything that indicate to me what was next, but I didn't see, hear or feel anything. So, I decided to take a few steps forward to see what would happen. Yet nothing.

I kept walking into this nothingness until, in the distance, I managed to see a black dot on the ground. When I slowly walked over to see what it was, something came out of there at super speed, coiling around my neck. I started to fight, to get rid of it, but I didn't achieve anything, this thing was strong, and it was taking my breath away bit by bit.

My eyes were glassy with exertion, and my face looked like it was going to explode. Then something terrifying began to emerge from the ground, stunned to see what it was.

A snow-white woman with black hair fluttering around her appeared before me. Her body was covered with pieces of transparent cloth of various colours. Her clothing danced to the same rhythm as her hair. My brain was stunned at this sight. She continued emerging and didn't stop until she rose above me. My eyes were glued to this woman, still with this black wrapped around my neck.

But when I looked at her right side, another figure appeared from the same black spot. A new ribbon came out of it, wrapping around one of my arms. It was another woman similar to the first, but this one was a little different. Her hair was light brown with similar clothing, but this time there was no colour, but black.

Their evil emitted was frightening. My skin began to feel sticky, and from my forehead, I felt beads of sweat forming, sliding down my face, to my neck. My face felt hot, and my teeth began to grind from the pain I felt in my head.

They were like pangs that penetrated my brain. I closed my eyes and squeezed them tight, trying to shield my mind from this.

When I opened my eyes again, another new figure was emerging. Her skin was dark with curly hair fluttering over her shoulders. She was wearing a long black dress. From her, another ribbon attacked me, but this time it got tangled in my other arm.

The ribbons were digging into my skin, but the one that hurt the most was the one on my neck. And to my misfortune, two other figures appeared in the same way. One had red hair, the other gold. Their clothes were the same. Both wore white robes covering their entire bodies.

Each one threw in my direction the same black ribbons, imprisoning my two legs. I was motionless again. Like a sacrifice. I fought, but my strength was nothing compared to theirs, I couldn't escape, and all was in vain.

Then, I looked at them one by one in their eyes, and I only felt fear. Their eyes were so wicked that I was unable to hold their gaze for more than a few seconds.

Then I knew it. The five witches who wanted to own my body.
